Culture in the Dolomites
- Church of San Cassiano: The village of San Cassiano has its name from its patron saint to whon the churd is dedicated. In 1296 AD was the first time the name was used to describe the various farms of our village. The first little church dedicated to San Cassiano was built in 1541AD but the first priest arrived in San Cassiano only in 1760 AD. The church as seen today was built in 1782 and the main painting which represents Saint Kassian was created by Carl Henrici.
