The Dolomites - A Unesco World Heritage Site
Since 2009, the Dolomites have been listed as a Unesco Natural World Heritage site and are as such one of the world’s specially protected natural and cultural monuments.
The Dolomites’ bizarre rock formations extend across a 150km by 80km area. With its highest peak, Marmolada (3,334 m) and 17 others, all higher than 3,000 metres above sea level, the Dolomites offer breathtaking scenery and unforgettable views.
